The Pixel 2’s headphone jack is not coming to the U.S. Pixel 2 is one of a handful of Google Pixel 2s to come out this summer with a headphone jack.
It’s a bit odd for a smartphone to be able to take advantage of a headphone socket without a phone, but that’s how it works in general.
If you’re going to buy a phone with a phone-like design, you might as well get a phone that has a headphone port.
There’s nothing to stop the Google Pixel or Pixel 2 from getting the headphone jack that’s been missing from the U, but it’s going to be a long time before you can buy a Pixel 2 with a smartphone-like headphone socket.
That said, if you’re a Pixel user who has been itching for a headphone that comes with a standalone phone jack, the Pixel 2 could be worth your while.

The Pixel will also have a microphone jack on the back, though there’s not much information on what it will be used for, so there’s no way to tell if that’s an additional speaker or a standalone mic.
