President Donald Trump said Wednesday that he’s not a “robotic” politician who doesn’t care about what voters think about him.
“I am the same person I always was.
I’m not a machine, I’m a human being, a man who has a heart,” Trump told reporters in the Oval Office.”
When I talk about the things that I care about, the things I’ve done for the people, the people have responded to that.
They are going to see the difference between me and Hillary Clinton,” Trump added.
Trump, who is scheduled to speak at the Republican National Convention next week, has struggled with health problems since his inauguration and has yet to release a full medical history.
In a tweet earlier this month, he said he’s “been told by my doctors that I have a very mild form of pneumonia.”
Trump said he’ll be at the convention for the first time, but declined to say if he’ll have a campaign speech.
