Share Nintendo has reportedly banned Little Nightmares for Switch in North America and Europe, citing an “inappropriate content.”
This could be a reference to a controversial Nintendo Switch video game that depicts child abuse, but it’s also a potential threat to the Nintendo Switch console.
The company says the video is “a violent, obscene, and disturbing video that does not represent Nintendo or Nintendo-sanctioned content.”
The company also said that “the content does not reflect Nintendo’s values or the values of our community,” and that “Nintendo’s decision to take this action is in the best interests of all our members.”
Little Nightmares was pulled from the Nintendo eShop on August 29.
We’ve reached out to Nintendo for comment.
Little Nightmares is available for $2.99 in the Nintendo iShop.
