You don’t have to buy a fancy charger for your phone, tablet or laptop to charge them up.
But if you do, you’re likely to need a charger to do so.
Nowadays, many smart phones and tablets can charge up via USB-A.
And as smartphones become more powerful, there are more and more apps that let you wirelessly charge them.
If you want to do it, you’ll need a USB- C cable.
And you can get one for a relatively low price.
In this article, we’ll walk you through the process of converting your old smart phone charger into a USB 3.1-C charger.
This means you can charge your phone with a regular USB- A cable or a USB Type-C cable.
The best part?
It’ll work with any USB- Type-A cable, too.
Here are the steps to get started: 1.
Connect your old charger to your computer using a USB cable.
For this example, we’re going to use a USB 2.0 to 3.0 adapter to connect to our MacBook Pro.
If your computer doesn’t have a USB port, you can use a micro USB cable to connect it to the laptop.
We’ll use the Micro USB Type C to USB cable for this example.
Note: If you don’t use USB Type A cables for your computer, you could also use a PC USB-B cable.
If everything is plugged in, you should see a blue “Charging” bar appear in the top right corner of the window.
If all else fails, you might need to wait a few minutes for your device to finish charging.
Plug in your device and you’ll be ready to go.
Here’s a quick video demonstration of how to use the USB-3 adapter to charge your iPhone: 4.
Once your device is ready, you may need to re-attach it to your PC or Mac if your device doesn’t charge up correctly.
If the charging process is a bit finicky, you will need to use your device’s power button to release the USB cable, and then re-insert it into the USB port.
This will release the power cable that’s attached to your device.
Next, we will need a micro SD card to transfer the data from our MacBook to the micro SD slot on our Mac.
For our example, let’s use a 16GB Micro SD card.
You can also use your existing Micro SD Card to transfer data from your iPhone to your Mac.
We’ve used the same Micro SD Cards that you can buy from Apple to test the USB Charging Adapter.
Now that your device has the USB charger, we can plug it into your computer.
Open up your Mac or PC, and navigate to the Macs USB-2.0 port.
Make sure you don.t select any other ports in the left sidebar.
Make a note of which port you want connected to.
(For example, if your USB port is labeled “Internal,” select that port.)
Open the Mac OS X Utilities app.
Select File > Open and then select the microSD card you just copied to your laptop.
(If you didn’t do this, the microsd card will automatically be mounted on the USB device.)
Open your Mac’s Utilities folder.
Navigate to Applications > Utilities > Utilities.
Navate to Utilities > USB- 2.1 Type-B Adapter.
Double-click the USB 2,1 Type B adapter.
This opens the USB Port Manager.
Select the micro USB Type B Adapter as the adapter.
You’ll see a few options in the Properties window.
If anything goes wrong, click the OK button.
In the Properties Window, you need to make a few changes to the adapter’s Properties section.
Click on the “Advanced” tab.
Under the “USB Charging Type” drop-down menu, click on the “+” button next to “USB Type- C Adapter.”
Make sure the “Use USB Type 3.” box is checked.
Click OK. 12.
At this point, the adapter should be ready for use.
Note that the Type- B Adapter will charge your Mac when plugged into an external USB port on your computer (not when plugged directly into your Mac).
This means that you won’t be able to charge it using a normal USB port or a Micro USB cable!
We’ll get to why in a second.
For now, let me show you how to transfer files from your Mac to your iPhone.
Plug the micro-SD card into your MacBook and then your iPhone’s USB port into your PC. 2 .
Open up the Applications folder on your Mac, and you should find an Applications folder.
Right-click Applications > Applications and choose Show Package Contents.
Nav to the MicroSD card and click on its icon. 3 . Next,
