FourFourOne reader Michael says: I am using an Apple TV remote.
It is very good, but the only way to switch it on is to use a 3D touch pad.
I know this is a problem with other Apple TVs but I am not sure why it is not fixed.
I have tried several times to get it to work and have gotten the same result.
What can I do to make this happen again?

I can’t seem to do this with the Apple TV.
Can someone tell me what is the problem?
Thanks!
reader Michael posted: Hi Mike, Hi Michael, The problem is the Wi-Fi on the remote is set to the default setting and you have to set it manually, so this is not the right way to go about it.
If you set it to the Apple remote you can then select the Wii Remote button, then choose the WiFi on your Apple TV, and the device will be able to switch itself into the default settings.
If this doesn’t work, you can try another setting and see if that helps.
If the problem persists, you should try setting the WiFI on your Wii Remote to the correct value.
Thanks for your help, Michael
