Mario Kart 8 has become the most-watched game on Nintendo Switch worldwide since its release in March.
Its been the biggest selling console game for the Japanese company since launch, and now it’s coming to Switch, too.
The game’s been the most watched game on the platform for the first three weeks of the year, Nintendo announced on Monday.
Nintendo’s CEO Satoru Iwata called the game “an incredible success” and “one of the most beloved games in Nintendo history.”
The Switch version of Mario Kart has been downloaded more than 1 billion times, according to data from the App Store.
Its selling points include its speed and control, and it’s a lot cheaper than other Switch games.
The game’s also coming to the 3DS eShop in Japan, and for now, the Switch version is only available in Japan.
